Why I Choose Hand Embroidery Over Fast Fashion

In today’s world, clothes are produced faster than ever — but also forgotten faster than ever. Garments are worn once, maybe twice, and then discarded. This cycle feels soulless to me.
Hand embroidery is my answer. It is a way of resisting this rush, of creating slowly and intentionally. Every stitch is a decision, every bead is placed with care. These pieces are not meant to be replaced next season — they are designed to stay, to be loved, to carry stories.
When someone chooses a hand-embroidered corset or top, they are choosing more than fashion. They are choosing respect for the time it takes to make something truly beautiful. They are choosing individuality over repetition, craftsmanship over mass production.
I believe that clothes should have weight — not just physically, but emotionally. And hand embroidery gives that weight. It reminds us that what we wear can be art, not just fabric.
